Widespread Bathroom Sink Faucet
Bathroom sink faucets are an essential element of any bathroom, but that doesn’t mean they can’t also be a stylish accent to enhance your bathroom. Faucets are available in a multitude of styles, designs, and finishes with a wide variety of features such as scald protection, less touch operation, and more. All of these things, as well as the ease of use, safety, durability, and size of the faucet set, should be considered before making your Widespread Bathroom Sink Faucet purchase.
Not all bathroom sink faucets will be compatible with all bathroom sinks. Bathroom applications generally have 1 or 3 holes located on the edge or deck of the sink, countertop, or wall above the sink. After determining where the faucet will be mounted, measure the distance between the center of the leftmost hole and the center of the rightmost hole.

Bathroom Sink Faucet Types
Wall-mounted faucets are installed directly on the wall above the sink rather than on the countertop or sink itself. This type of faucet requires that the water supply lines be placed above the height of the sink rather than for a traditional faucet (where the supplies are located under the sink). When purchasing a wall-mounted faucet, make sure the spout reach is long enough to allow for adequate sink clearance based on sink bowl size and placement on the countertop.
Vessel fill faucets have a taller faucet body intended for vessel-style sinks that sit above the counter rather than above or below the counter. When purchasing a vessel filler faucet, keep in mind the height of the vessel-style sink bowl to make sure the faucet is tall enough to clear the rim.
8″ Widespread Faucet
8″ Widespread Faucets are intended for sinks and countertops with 3 predrilled holes that are 8″ apart. The faucet body and handles are all separate pieces.
4″ mini spread
The 4″ mini spread taps fit the same sink configuration as the 4″ centered taps with 3 holes pre-drilled 4″ apart. The difference between the mini spread and the center is that the minispread has 3 single pieces not connected by a deck plate.
Centerset 4″ taps are designed for sinks and worktops with 3 pre-drilled holes 4″ apart. The taps of the center set are located on a deck plate that connects the two bodies of the handle with the body of the spout. This style is also available in single handle configurations.
Single hole faucets have a spout and single handle control together on the faucet body. Single-hole taps are intended for sinks or worktops that have only one hole per tap. If you prefer the look of a single-hole faucet but your sink or countertop is drilled for a 4-inch faucet, some models can be purchased with an optional deck plate to cover the extra holes.
